What I got for Christmas 2014

Over the last week or so I’ve really enjoyed reading about what everyone got for Christmas and seeing how you all celebrated. Now the tree has come down and all the decorations put back in the loft, it’s all over for another year. But I am really excited to show you some of my gifts, because I must have been on the good list and was lucky enough to receive the two main things I’ve been desperate for, for I don’t know how long!
BaByliss Curl Secret
My parents bought me this little beauty and it’s something I’ve wanted for a good couple of years – ever since I was working in a salon and the sales rep came in and tested the product on my hair. I instantly loved the results and was like I need this. It’s true, if you have straight hair, you long for curls – and let’s be honest, Sleep-In Rollers can’t create curls like this can. I love the auto-curl technology which makes it so much easier to use than say, a wand. I haven’t actually properly used it yet, although have played around with it a bit. I never have time in the morning to totally curl my hair so may have to spray the curls in overnight.
Tom Tom Sat Nav
Jake got me a sat nav and it’s gonna come in SO handy, because my sense of direction is so bad. I actually had to ask my mum for directions to the chip shop the other night, which is within three miles of our house. I’ve been relying on my phone and Google maps to get me about, which obviously isn’t ideal. Even better, this baby comes with free lifetime maps – so there’s no paying out more for updates... sweeeet! I can’t wait to plug it in, although I’m also desperate to buy a new car!
Lush products
Christmas isn’t Christmas without Lush products and I’ve got lots of lovely new bath treats to try out, alongside some favourites. My best friend Laura bought me the Little Snow Fairy gift box, which consists of a bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel and the pink Fun bar, as well as the Northern Lights bomb. My brother chose the Baby Frosty knot wrap which is so cute and consists of two bath bombs (Butterball and Shoot for the Stars) in a reusable cloth. I almost don’t want to open it in fear of not being able to re-tie it once finished. I also received a Bomb Cosmetics product in my stocking, the chocolate scented Rockin Robin blaster. I’ve got so many baths to look forward to!
Daisy by Marc Jacobs
I often ask my auntie and uncle in Spain for perfume as it’s so easy to ship over here and I’m always in need of another fragrance. I love Marc Jacobs and currently have a little collection on the go. Daisy is the newest addition and I already can’t stop wearing it. Given the name, it’s a floral fragrance with notes of violet and jasmine, although there’s sweetness from vanilla and a musky base. Like other fragrances, Daisy is long-lasting and the bottle is so cute. I find the lids so beautiful and this is no different – with two daisies attached the to the gold cap.
Kerastase hair products
Kerastase have been my favourite haircare brand for a while now so I was really pleased to receive a top-up of my most-used products, as well as another newbie. Everything about the brand just screams luxury – from the packaging, to the scent and even the colours and consistency of their oils. I’m currently using two of the beautifying oils (gold and green) and received the pink oil, targeted at coloured hair as well as another gold oil (all hair types). The masks are great as well and I try to use those at least once a week  - again, I received the gold one, which not only smells amazing, but leaves my hair looking shiny and feeling healthy.
Tatty Teddy onesie
I don’t know about you but I always receive something cute and snuggly and this year, my mum bought me this Me to You onesie. Not only is it pink with heart print and fleecy, but it has a hood with ears! It’s the most comfortable thing ever and I literally spend every evening in it when I get home from work. Unlike my other onesies, it’s footless which means having to wear snuggle socks or slipper boots. I’m such a big kid.
I had to post my work secret santa present as well – basically all my favourite things: Soap & Glory, Yankee, cocktails, football, face masks and nail bits. Lucky Luce.
Please leave your links below so I can have a nose at your Christmases!
