So another month has flown by – apologies for the delay in posting my monthly favourites... guess who forgot to take photos and had to unschedule the post? *hand in the air emoji*
So in August, I could not be without my Urban Decay Naked Palette (£38 from Feel Unique) and hand on heart, I used it every day. I honestly don’t know how I previously survived without this on my dresser. I still to one or two shades for an everyday work look – but love to experiment and also build layers. The bronze smoky eye is my current fave – Half Baked, I love you.
I’m a sucker for sickly sweet smelling products and it’s even better if they’re also pink. The Strawberry Daiquiri bath & shower gel by The Soho Soap Co (Sainsbury’s) is amazing – if you’re a fan of Original Source, you’ll love it too. The scent is so lush and lingers on the skin for hours afterwards. The 500ml bottle will last for ages too, I’ve had mine a couple of months and it’s still fairly full!
Following on from my London weekend and Wedding OOTD posts, I have to include a fashion item and these beautiful killer heels from Linzi (available now for only £10!). At £15 a pair in the sale, I just had to buy pairs in both black and white; the black are suede, while the white are crocodile print. I love both pairs and there’s no better feeling than buying new shoes – especially heels!
Another beauty I’ve used so much this last month is the Tresemme Make Waves Hairspray (c/o Tresemme, RRP £5.99). I’m hoping to write a review post on this product anyway, so I don’t want to give too much away but my god, what an amazing game changer! It’s perfect for thick hair, like mine and hair which doesn’t curl easily. The scent is to die for as well, it totally doesn’t smell like hair spray.
And finally, with this Great British summer, I’ve had to heavily rely on self-tanning agents and the mousse by TanTastic (c/o TanTastic, RRP £18) is the first and only product I’ll reach for! My summer holiday back in June honestly feels like years ago now. But this tanning product is my fave for a number of reasons: streak-free, scent-free, transfer-free, natural colour. What more could you want?
What were your monthly favourites?
Love, Lucy xx
